If the latest news is to be believed, the Andhra Pradesh government is said to have been capturing the vacant lands of the people who are in due of the payment of the Vacant Land Tax. Some of the land owners were stunned to see flexes and standees outside their lands stating that the government has decided to build Village Secretariat in the open land and thus has been capturing it as the land owners failed to make the payment regarding the land taxes.
This decision of the government has been bringing severe backlash. Some people are criticizing that the government is behaving like a goonda and is capturing the lands.
While this is one side of the coin, it is stunning to see so many landowners in due to pay the Vacant Land Tax in the state which is obviously bringing losses to the already debt-ridden state.
