Telangana Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao in his recent meetings has criticized Central Government’s actions. In a meeting, he has said that BJP is pressurizing to implement electricity reforms in the state. “I will not agree to the reforms at any cost,” said KCR. TRS prominent leader Harish Shankar has questioned Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan over this.

“I don’t understand why Jagan is keeping calm in this issue. He has bowed down to the pressure of the BJP. In Srikakulam alone, nearly 40 thousand meters are attached to the agriculture-based borewells/meters. Why is that so? What is the necessity? I am surprised by Jagan’s silence in this issue,” said Harish Rao in a meeting recently.

Harish Rao has also lashed out at the BJP’s actions. He has criticized that BJP is announcing incentives for the states that are agreeing to these power reforms. On the other hand, BJP has cleared the air that they are not pressurizing anyone regarding power reforms. “We are not cutting down the FRMB limit either. These are all baseless allegations” said Central Electricity Department in a statement.
