Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has been arrested by the CBI after questioning him for over 8 hours. Manish is one of the prime accused in the controversial Delhi Liquor Scam which has shaken many states. Manish Sisodia will be produced in the CBI court on Monday i.e 27th February at 2 pm. This is not the first time that the CBI questioned Manish.
He was one of the 15 accused by the CBI and named in the FIR filed on August 17th, 2022. Telangana Chief Minister KCR’s daughter Kavitha was also named in the FIR in this scam. YSRCP MP Magunta Srinivasula Reddy’s son Magunta Raghava was arrested in connection to this case as well.
For the uninitiated, the Delhi government came up with a new liquor policy that was said to favor many private players. With the allegations, the Delhi government decided to scrap the new one and bring back the old regime. However, Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena recommended a CBI probe.
