Today a key judgment regarding the BRS MLAs poaching case has been delivered. Telangana High Court upheld the judgment of a single bench inviting a CBI probe into the case. The Single-judge bench transferred the probe to the CBI and the Telangana government on January 4th challenging the judgment and moving a division bench of the state high court.
In its petition, the Telangana government stated that the move to transfer the case to the CBI is nothing but diluting it. The judge, on the other hand, dissolved the SIT and ordered the SIT to hand over all the details to the CBI including the investigation done so far, along with documents, evidence, and witness accounts.
With the decision upheld we have to wait and see how the Telangana government will react to it.
