It is very well known that the polls for Rajya Sabha will be conducted on May 30th. However, Ravichandra Vaddiraju of Telagana Rashtra Samithi has been elected to cred unopposed as he is the only nomination filed for the vacancy. The last date for nominations withdrawal is May 23rd and as he is the only one nominated for the post, he has been elected unopposed. He is one of the three candidates TRS has proposed for the Rajya Sabha polls.
Ravichandra is popularly known as Gayatri Ravi as he is the founder and chief promoter of Gayatri group. Ravichandra hails from Mahabubabad district and is the president of Telangana Granite Quarry Owners Association.
Hetero Drugs Chairman and Managing Director Bandi Parthasaradhi Reddy and Telangana Publications Private Ltd Chairman and Managing Director Divakonda Damodar are the two other names proposed by TRS.
