Nara Chandrababu Naidu and YS Rajasekhara Reddy are two contemporary Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh. They were once part of the Congress party and gained recognition. However, later, Chandrababu joined the Telugu Desam Party after leaving the Congress.

Over time, Chandrababu Naidu strengthened the TDP and made significant contributions, including introducing Kia Motors, Ashok Leyland, Apollo Tyres, Asian Paints, Hero Honda, and other industries. He also initiated the establishment of educational institutions like VIT, SRM universities, and Amaravati’s development.

On the other hand, YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s governance led to the allocation of land for Brahmani Steel Plant, Vanpic Project, Volkswagen, and Lepakshi Knowledge Hub. However, these projects didn’t materialize as expected, causing economic losses.

Chandrababu Naidu’s tenure saw immense growth in industries, health, food, and the development of Hyderabad. YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s governance focused more on immediate solutions than long-term planning.

The state needs visionary leaders like Chandrababu Naidu for sustained growth and decision-makers like YS Rajasekhara Reddy for addressing immediate concerns, leaving the ultimate choice to the people. Unfortunately, the current chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the successor of YS Rajasekhara Reddy, is neither like his father nor like his opponent.
