The COVID pandemic and the new Omicron variant have been booming all over the world. More than 20 lakh positive cases have been recorded all over and thousands of them are breathing their last due to the deadly virus. Among the 20 lakh positive cases being recorded, 4 lakh cases are being recorded in the US alone, which is an alarming rise.
The recent trends of COVID in the US are nothing but shocking with a steep rise in positive cases and deaths. Close to 1,000 deaths are happening on a daily basis. The death toll due to the COVID rose to 8,73,149. With the rise in positive cases, hospital admissions are also on the rise as well, which in turn is causing the lack of sufficient staff in the hospitals.
To overcome, President Biden has turned towards Army medical staff who have already started their services. Apart from the US, France, Italy, Australia, India are witnessing an alarming rise in positive cases.
