The majority of the Indians who have contested in the mid-term elections of the United States of America have come out victorious. Dr. Jasmeet Kaur, a Sikh woman of Indian origin was elected to the California assembly and it is the first for an Indian origin to do so.

Jasmeet Kaur from the Bakers Field has rendered exceptional services during the difficult times of COVID. Now, the people have recognized her efforts by electing her to the California assembly. She contested from the 35th Assembly District in Kern County and won it with a handsome margin.

Jasmeet Kaur’s parents migrated to America from Punjab, India a few years ago. With this win, she became the first Indian woman to be elected to the California Assembly.
