Chicago Andhra Association celebrated International Women’s Day in a grand way that was held on March 11th. Under the leadership of President Gowri Sankar Addanki, advised by Chairman Sujatha Appalaneni and Ex-President Malathi Damaraju, and others, the event was a successful one. Consular General Sri Somnath Ghosh’s wife Mrs. Anindita Ghosh was the guest of honor and addressed the gathering.
Madhura Sane, who is a prominent Kathak dancer and also a movie actress graced the event and started the reels competition. Various competitions were held among the women on this occasion. Anvitha Panchagnula and Tamishra Konchada entertained the audience with their commentary and crowd interaction.
There are several activities planned like Reels, Yaasa Bhasha, Vegetable Craving, Riddles, DIY Flower Contest, and many games throughout the evening. All the ladies came up with Sita Ramam themed sarees. Overall, it was a successful event and the organizers thanked the venue management for all the arrangements and help.
