A huge setback for Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy in relation to the YS Viveka murder case as Supreme Court has stated that they can’t order CBI not to arrest him. The apex court today heard the anticipatory bail petition and refused to take up the bail petition. The bench comprising Justice J K Maheshwari and Justice Pamidigantam Sri Narasimha heard the petition and passed the judgment.

The court said that they cannot interfere in the CBI arrest case and “no arrest” orders cannot be given. Supreme Court directed Avinash Reddy’s lawyer to approach High Court’s vacation bench on the 25th of this month for this anticipatory bail petition. In amid of all this, CBI’s lawyer skipping today’s petition hearing raised many eyebrows.

With the Supreme Court’s decision, it becomes interesting how CBI will be approaching the YS Viveka murder case. It is being speculated from a long time that YS Avinash Reddy will be arrested by CBI but that’s not happening.
