COVID fears are looming large again. After the two COVID waves, the third wave is evident. In India, we are witnessing lakhs of positive cases. Despite the fact that most of the Indians are now vaccinated with two doses, the new variant is attacking. Omicron has created more fears among the people. Another form of COVID variant Omicron is being referred to as B.1.1529 has split into BA.1 and BA.2 in December last month and continues to attack.
Britain scientists recognized this as substrain. Health Protection Agency has been doing comprehensive research by placing this in Under Investigation Category. There have been numerous speculations about the booster dose which is being given after the two vaccinations.
The effectiveness of the vaccines has been reduced regarding the Omicron. So, WHO has been suggesting that booster dose is a must. It has been predicted that with the help of a booster dose we can control any variant. We have to wait and see about the effectiveness of the booster dose.
