U.S. Ambassador Donald Lou says the American administration, led by Joe Biden, is working to urge India to take a clear stance on the Russia-Ukraine crisis. He has revealed that Secretary of State Anthony Blinken has been working on that relentlessly. The comments have come in after India opted to stay away from voting for the third time in a row at the UN.

Donald Lou has revealed that Joe Biden and other senior officials are being involved in high-level discussions with their Indian counterparts over Ukraine. He has stated that India is currently focused on only two things. “India is looking for a diplomatic solution to the Ukraine conflict and was focusing on the safe repatriation of nearly 18,000 students stranded in Ukraine.”

US lawmakers, both Republicans and Democrats have criticized India as the nation is one among the 35 countries that didn’t vote to rebuke Russia’s invasion. Reacting to these criticisms Lou responded by stating that “All of us have been working with India to take a clear stand, the stand that is opposite of Russia’s actions.
