With a magnitude of 6.3, an earthquake hit Nepal early morning on Wednesday around 90 km east-southeast of Uttarakhand’s Pithoragarh. According to the updates, the earthquake hits the nation early morning at 1:57 AM and the depth is reportedly around 10 KM. The magnitude of the earthquake is such that the tremors were felt in New Delhi, Ghaziabad, Gurugram, and Lucknow. These tremors lasted many seconds.
National Center for Seismology tweeted, “Earthquake of Magnitude:6.3, Occurred on 09-11-2022, 01:57:24 IST, Lat: 29.24 & Long: 81.06, Depth: 10 Km, Location: Nepal” confirming the news. This is the third earthquake to hit the nation in five hours. Earlier, a 4.9 magnitude earthquake hit Nepal at 8:52 pm and was followed by a 3.5 magnitude earthquake at 9:41 pm.
A house collapsed due to this earthquake in the Doti area in Nepal. 9 people have lost their lives and five are injured. They have been shifted to a nearby hospital and are being treated.
