The box office remains dull in February. After HanuMan this year, no film is setting the BO on fire. There were decent expectations on Ravi Teja’s Eagle but the movie opened poorly. However, it did pick up by the evening shows but the opening for the weekend is still average.
We have to wait and see whether Eagle would perform better on the weekdays. The other notable film Yatra 2, a film on Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy hasn’t performed to the expectations. It was believed that Yatra 2 would be received like Yatra gaining the support of the YSR Congress party. The collections in Andhra Pradesh remained low and it will end up as a flop.
Super Star Rajinikanth played a special role in the movie Lal Salaam which is a sports drama. The film will end up as a huge disaster. The openings of the film are quite an embarrassment for a hero like Rajinikanth. The other dubbing film True Lover which was supported by SKN and Maruthi hasn’t been performing as per the expectations.
