This Christmas weekend, Salaar and Dunki clashed at the box office. While Dunki is an emotional entertainer, Salaar is an out-and-out mass entertainer. The genres of these films were different but comparison is inevitable. Everyone thought Prabhas would not be a match for the mighty SRK in the Hindi belt.
But the collections of Salaar and Dunki are neck to neck currently. On Tuesday, Salaar collected a nett of Rs. 9.50 Crores while Dunki collected Rs. 10 Crores.
Dunki has so far collected Rs. 133 Crores while Salaar stands at Rs. 76 Crores. Salaar after the end of the first week might touch nearly Rs. 100 Crores which is very good considering there are no promotions whatsoever. Both of the films haven’t been completely positive responses on the opening day. So, they failed to take the box office by storm but the collections are decent.
