The Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) has announced the IPL auction list date. A total of 590 cricketers will go under the hammer in a few days’ time. The mega auction will take place for 2 days on February 12th and 13th, 2022. Among the 590 players that will participate in the mega auction, 228 are capped players, 355 are uncapped players, there are 7 players that belong to the associate nations. Among these a total of 370 Indian players and 220 Overseas players are present.
This prestigious tournament’s auction will be for the 15th season. Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders, Lucknow Super Giants, Mumbai Indians, Punjab Kings, Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Team Ahmedabad will be participating in the auction to bag up their squad list. The number of open player slots for each franchise ranges between (21-23) depending on the retention of players by each franchise.
Australia is the nation with the highest number of players (47) to be in the auction. We have to wait and see who will go for the highest bid on the mega auction day and create history.
