The Congress party lost drastically in the 2014 elections where all the candidates from the party lost deposits. After a while, the Congress party is getting some momentum after including YS Sharmila into the party. She was made AP Congress chief and now the leader is doing all the talk. Yesterday, she was taken into custody as well.
Now, the Congress party has confirmed alliance with two parties. For the upcoming elections, the Congress party is going to have alliance with CPI and CPM. After the discussions the alliance was announced. Albeit, the left parties might not have major impact, they might well influence some share of votes in certain constituencies.
Already, Telugu Desam Party and Jana Sena have announced the alliance and BJP is going to join the alliance as well. So there is going to be two triangular alliances in Andhra Pradesh for the upcoming elections and YSR Congress is going to contest the elections without any alliance.
