The festival season has ended and the real test for the Sankranthi releases have begun. Guntur Kaaram, HanuMan, Saindhav, and Naa Saami Ranga were released for this Sankranthi. HanuMan is declared an outright blockbuster with the investments have already recovered and all the parties involved are in huge profits. Venkatesh’s Saindhav is washed out. The film will incur huge losses to the distributors.
Nagarjuna’s Naa Saami Ranga cashed in on the festival advantage. Though the film received mixed reports, Naa Saami Ranga could reach the breakeven mark.
Super Star Mahesh Babu’s huge budget entertainer Guntur Kaaram received negative reviews on day 1. Still, the film braved all that and ended up collecting decent during the festival holidays. Guntur Kaaram has recovered almost 60 percent of the investment and now the movie will have to face the real test. Guntur Kaaram’s advance bookings after the festival season looks dim and it needs to collect decent for the next week or so to be on the safe side.
