In the 99th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the countrymen on topics like organ donation, rise of women power, solar energy.

Talking about organ donation, PM Modi told that now a person above 65 years of age can also donate organ. Till now only people below 65 years of age can donate organs. He appealed to the countrymen to come forward for organ donation and said that to make it easier and encourage it, work is on to make a uniform policy across the country.

He said that eliminating the compulsion to register in his own state for organ procurement, he has now announced that the patient can be registered in any state of the country.

He said that with time awareness about organ donation is increasing in the country. In the last 10 years, the number of organ donors in the country has increased 3 times.

Modi said, “In 2013 there were less than 5,000 cases of organ donation in our country, but in 2022 this number has increased to more than 15,000”

Mentioning the successes of women in many fields, PM Modi said that women power has a big role in India’s potential which is emerging today.

Regarding the 99th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’, PM Modi said that it is believed that the turn of the 99th is very difficult, but where there is ‘Mann Ki Baat’ of the people of India, there is a different motivation. He has sought suggestions from people for the 100th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ to be held on 30 April.
