The Congress has presented an outline of protests against the cancellation of the Lok Sabha membership of former Congress President Rahul Gandhi and hold a month-long nationwide protest on the Adani case. The Congress announced that demonstrations would be held from the block level to the national level. It also includes organizing ‘Jai Bharat Maha Satyagraha’ in the second week of April.

A series of press conferences will be held in 35 big cities across the country on March 28 and 29. The Congress also took out a ‘Save Democracy’ torch peace march from the Red Fort.

According to the announcement, ‘Jai Bharat Satyagraha’ will be organized at block and district level in all the states from 29 March to 30 April. ‘Jai Bharat Maha Satyagraha’ will be organized in New Delhi in the second week of April.

On April 1, the party’s SC, ST, OBC and Minority Front workers will demonstrate in the state capitals. On April 3, the Indian Youth Congress and the student wing NSUI will run a post card campaign.

Congress general secretaries Jairam Ramesh and KC Venugopal said that in support of Rahul Gandhi’s non-compromising fight against the loot of national wealth and people by the Modi-Adani nexus, the Congress party had organized a one-day Sankalp Satyagraha on March 26 at Rajghat in Delhi. He said that the MPs and MLAs of the party registered their protest against the dictatorial government by wearing black clothes in their respective houses.

This decision was taken in a meeting with the leaders of the core committee held on March 24 under the leadership of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge.
