Sankranthi festival has ended today in the Telugu States and so, the real test starts for the biggies which had a fantastic run due to holidays. For the Sankranthi festival, two biggies Chiranjeevi‘s Waltair Veerayya and Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy got released along with the dubbing flicks Thegimpu and Vaarasudu.
Waltair Veerayya and Veera Simha Reddy received mixed responses but the flicks have had a dream run with the festival holidays. All sections of the audience thronged to the theaters and watched the movies. Now that the festive season has ended, it would be interesting to see how these films fare at the BO as still these movies need to collect a considerable amount to reach the breakeven.
Waltair Veerayya needs to collect Rs. 6 Cr to reach the breakeven and Veera Simha Reddy wants Rs. 9 Crs overall.
