With the release date of Shaakunthalam approaching, the team has intensified the promotions. Shaakunthalam is a Pan-Indian flick that is released in five Indian languages including Telugu. The team of Shaakunthalam toured across the nation to promote the film. However, juggling between the shoots and extensive travel due to the promotions have taken a toll on Samantha who recently recovered from a condition called Myositis.
She tweeted, “I was really excited to be amongst you all this week promoting my film and soaking in your love. Unfortunately, the hectic schedules and promotions have taken its toll, and I am down with a fever and have lost my voice. Please join team #Shaakuntalam at the Annual Day Event of MLRIT this evening… will miss you.”
Gunasekhar is the director of the film and Dil Raju is the presenter. Dev Mohan has played the lead role as well.
