Samantha’s Shaakunthalam is gearing up for release on April 14th in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada languages. Shaakunthalam will have a 3D release as well. The producers spent a bomb on this mythological magnum opus. Produced by Neelima Guna on the Gunaa Team Works banner, Dil Raju has presented this film. Guna Sekhar who is known for magnum opus films directed this film.
Ahead of the release, a fresh trailer from the movie is out. The trailer focuses so much on the destiny and love of Shaakunthala. While the story creates interest. The entire setup and the VFX works look artificial and feel disconnected. We have to see how it will feel on the big screen though.
Shaakunthalam is the story based on Kalidas’s play Abhignana Shaakunthalam, a leaf from the great Mahabharatam.
