Director Puri Jagannath has now filed a complaint with Jubilee Hills Police against distributor Warangal Srinu and financier Shobhan for threatening him and pressurizing him in addition to instigating exhibitors against him. A leaked audio tape of director and producer Puri Jagannath warning exhibitors not to pressurize him about the money of Liger refund has turned viral.
Puri warned the exhibitors that he will not refund the exhibitors who revolt against him and defame him. Liger, Puri Jagannath’s recent movie bombed big time at the box office. All the distributors and exhibitors faced huge losses. Puri promised that he will repay some portions of the losses to them.
In the complaint to the Police, he stated that distributor Warangal Srinu and financier Shobhan are instigating the exhibitors against him. With Puri taking the legal route, the financiers are thinking of taking a harsh decision not to finance, Puri’s movies henceforth, a source revealed.
