American start-up, Shift Robotics, has invented a device that is designed to walk faster, three times faster than your walk to be precise. This device can be strapped onto your shoes which boosts your walking speed. You can reach as fast as 11 Kmph by strapping on these shoes. These Moonwalkers are not skaters but look like them. They’re not freewheeling so you can’t lose your balance and gives you the walking feel.
The algorithm in this AI-based shoe will move when you do. They will be stopped when you stop and regulate their speed automatically when you go up or down stairs. If you need to stay where you are after walking, simply lift your right heel and place it back on the ground. This move will lock the wheels. To return back to the normal pace of walking, lift your right heel in the air and make a clockwise move by placing your toe on the ground.
The video of these AI-based strap-on shoes has gone viral and many think these can be our future.
