Abhimanyudu fame PS Mithran is making an action thriller titled Sardar with Karthi in the lead role. The movie is aiming for a Diwali release. Sardar is going to have a wide release in Tamil and Telugu as well. Karthi has a decent base in the Telugu States as well. He is one of the few Kollywood stars who speak Telugu fluently.
The latest update about the film is that the Sardar Telugu rights is picked by Akkineni Nagarjuna’s Annapurna Studios banner. Karthi is excited by the acquisition. He tweeted, “When i’m with @iamnagarjuna garu he has always made me feel good about myself. Now knowing he’s there backing my film makes me feel stronger. @AnnapurnaStdios to release #Sardar in AP and TG this Diwali!”
Raashi Khanna is the female lead of the movie. Rajisha Vijayan and Chunky Panday will be seen in crucial characters.
