Legendary singer, Our nation’s pride Lata Mangeshkar Ji has breathed her last at the age of 92 on February 6th. It is very well known that the singer has been suffering from health-related ailments. She was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital after contracting the COVID virus. She has been battling the deadly virus for over three weeks. Along with COVID, she was fighting pneumonia as well.
However, Lata Mangeshkar couldn’t survive the virus. According to the hospital reports, she breathed her last at 8:12 AM. The family members, industry celebrities, and the fans can pay homage to Lata Ji at Sivaji Park. Lata Mangeshkar left a deep void in the music industry and without her, it will not be the same.
Starting her singing career in 1942 and has sung thousands of songs since then. She has sung in over 36 Indian and foreign languages. Lata Mangeshkar was conferred with Dada Saheb Phalke Award in 1990. She has also received the honors Padma Bhushan in 1969 and Bharat Ratna in 2001.
