The Super Star has gone through all the feedback. He has now tendered an unconditional apology. He has stated that he steps back. He has also promised that the endorsement fee will go towards charity work. Akshay Kumar has also said that the ads will continue to be aired till the contract time ends.
He posted a note which reads, “I am sorry. I would like to apologize to you, all my fans, and well-wishers. Your reaction over the past few days has deeply affected me. While I have not and will not endorse tobacco, I respect the outpouring of your feelings in light of my association with Vimal Elaichi. With all humility, I step back.”
Akshay Kumar promised that he will be careful in selecting brands for endorsements.
