The tension in Chandragiri, Tirupati district, remains high after the attack on TDP MLA candidate Pulivarthi Nani near Mahila University. To keep things under control, the police have tightened security and imposed Section 144 in the area.

Pulivarthi Nani, who was injured in the attack along with his gunman Dharani, is getting better and is expected to leave the hospital today. The police have registered a case based on Nani’s complaint.

Reports suggest that around 30 people were involved in the attack, with three already taken into custody. The rest are still on the run, prompting Nani’s wife to warn of possible disturbances in Chandragiri if they aren’t caught soon. In response, more police officers have been sent to the area to maintain peace.
