Bollywood star hero Akshay Kumar is now an Indian Citizen. The actor has proudly shared this development on social media platforms. “Both heart and citizenship, proudly Indian. Happy Independence Day,” he posted. It is well known that Akshay Kumar is a Canadian Citizen and he often had to face criticism over not having Indian Citizenship though he has been doing films for decades.
Akshay Kumar, earlier this year in a TV interview made it clear that he started the process of changing his passport. In the 1990s, at one stage, Akshay Kumar faced 15 consecutive flops and this transpired him to change his citizenship and shift his base to Canada. After the process was done, his career bloomed again in India and then Akshay decided to stay back.
During those times, not many have known about it. Now, the entire criticism over his nationality could be put to rest as he is an Indian now.
