However, Gill and Kohli steadied the innings. They first settled and then took the attack to the opposition. Sadly, Gill got out for 92 and Kohli made 88. Shreyas Iyer who hasn’t been in form scored a brilliant 82 in just 56 balls. As a result, India made a fluent 356.
Chasing a mammoth total, Sri Lanka faced horror. The scoreboard reads 2/3 in just no time and then it transformed to 14/6. Bumrah, Siraj, and Shami, all were brilliant. Shami picked a five-wicket haul as Sri Lanka got bundled out for just 55. With this win, India is back at the top of the points table.
