As many as six U 19 crickets of the Indian team are in isolation due to the COVID including the captain Yash Dhull. However, India didn’t get bothered by the Ireland team who were quite ordinary in the field. Batting first, India made merry of the conditions. The openers gave a steady start. Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Harnoor Singh stitched 164 for the opening wicket in quick time. Nishant Sindhu who is the stand-in captain scored 36 in 34 balls.

India in the 50 overs has made a formidable 307, thanks to the six-hitting capabilities of Rajvardhan Hangargekar. He has scored a breezy 39 in just 17 balls which consisted of five sixes. India scored 50 in the final five. In reply, Ireland is never really in the chase. By the end of the 7th over, Ireland lost three wickets and there is no picking up from then.

They finished with 133 all-out giving India a healthy win by 174 runs. India operated with as many as 8 bowlers and almost all of them proved effective.
