It’s a good start for India in the 3-match ODI series. Shubman Gill who has been in decent form has taken it to the next level altogether. Rohit Sharma won the toss and was elected to bat first in the Hyderabad innings. Both Rohit and Gill responded beautifully stitching a 60-run partnership. Rohit once again wasted the start he got and fell for just 34. Both Virat and Ishan Kishan couldn’t add much to the score. Suryakumar Yadav scored briskly, however, fell for a quick 31.
Shubman Gill on the other end held one end and scored at will. He was quick to score his consecutive hundred and then continued the great form. He scored his first ODI double-hundred. Shubman Gill is the youngest Indian to score a double-hundred. In his 149 balls 208, Gill scored 19 fours and 9 sixes.
Apart from Gill, no other Indian managed to cross 50. With the record-breaking score, India scored 349 in the 50 overs.
