Former Cricketer Roger Binny has been appointed the new President of BCCI. He is now the 36th President of the Board succeeding Saurav Ganguly. The 91st Annual General Meeting of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) was held in Mumbai and it is said that only Roger Binny filed a nomination for the ace post in the Indian Cricketing Body. With this, Saurav Ganguly has concluded his three years term in the top post.

As expected, Jay Shah will continue as the BCCI Secretary and Ashish Shelar has been appointed as BCCI Treasurer. Rajeev Shukla is the vice president of BCCI while Devajit Saikia will be the joint secretary.

Roger Binny who has served as a member of the BCCI selection committee previously is a member of the 1983 World Cup winning Indian squad. He is the highest wicket-taker for India in the tournament as well. He represented India in 27 test matches and 72 ODIs.
