All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja who has been missing in the action for several months has been cleared to participate in the first test that is bound to happen in Nagpur. National Cricket Academy (NCA) has given the clearance and the fitness report on his readiness to participate on Wednesday. Jadeja has been included in the squad subject to fitness clearance.

Ravindra Jadeja last played for the nation in August last year at the Asia Cup in Dubai and a knee injury meant he was out of action for around five months. Jadeja returned to competitive cricket last week in a Ranji Trophy game where he bagged a seven-fer playing for Saurashtra against Tamil Nadu in the second innings.

While Jadeja is cleared to play the Nagpur test, Iyer is still doubtful for the first test. He sustained a back injury and was eventually ruled out of the New Zealand series. He is currently under the monitoring of NCA.
