Chakravarthula Nagabhushanam may not be known to this generation how great an actor he was, but he mesmerized the audience with his exceptional acting skills. He redefined the word villianism in Telugu Cinema. Nagabhushanam played so many memorable villain roles and terrorized the audiences with his cruel antics as a villain. It was Mikkilineni Radha Krishna who brought out the actor in Nagabhushanam. He participated in plays like Bhaiya and Kappalu written by Atreya through Prajanatyamandali.
Before entering into movies, Nagabhushanam played many stage dramas. He performed Rakta Kanniru for the first time in Nellore and after that it ran for a total of 5,432 shows. In 1951 Tatineni Prakasa Rao of Praja Natyamandali introduced Nagabhushanam as a villain in the movie Palletooru. He played some small roles in movies like Mayabazaar. Nagabhushanam was a favorite of NTR. He gave many chances to Nagabhushanam.
The film Kathanayakudu brought fame to Nagabhushanam and it brought him star status. Over two decades, Nagabushanam ruled the Telugu Film Industry. He is and will always be the cruel villain and a good at heart person the industry ever witnessed.
