As Team India captain and opener Rohit Sharma tested COVID positive, India is in a spot of bother. They are already missing the services of KL Rahul who has been sustaining an injury. BCCI hasn’t named any replacement for Rohit nor did they announce the new captain.
They are currently monitoring the status of Rohit Sharma who is currently in the isolation. They are positive that Rohit Sharma might be able to come back as there are no quarantine rules in England after recovering from COVID. The latest update is that they have also called Mayank to England just in case.
He has played the last test in March against Sri Lanka. He hasn’t been included in the squad initially but was now been called up. India leads the series 2-1 and the Edgbaston series starts on July 1st.
