BCCI Secretary Jay Shah recently held a meeting with Rahul Dravid in Miami. It seemed like a regular interaction but reading between the lines this meeting took place before the two T20 internationals against West Indies that happened in Florida and August 12th and 13th.
According to the reports, the meeting lasted for nearly two hours. Jay Shah was in the United States for a private visit and Dravid drove all the way from Florida to Marriott in Miami. As India is going to face two crucial assignments for the Indian team, namely the Asia Cup and the World Cup, this meeting gained huge significance.
Recently, there has been a lot of criticism around India’s underperformance in major tournaments and also the selection process giving rest to the seniors in other tournaments other than marquee events that are showing an impact. We have to wait and see about the result of this crucial meeting.
