BCCI today has confirmed that Team India’s head coach Rahul Dravid will continue in his post. BCCI has offered an extension of his role after the World Cup 2023 ended. Rahul Dravid’s term ended with the World Cup. He was given a break from the ongoing India vs Australia T20 series.

Rahul Dravid who received the offer took his time to think about the decision. It is said that the ex-Team India legendary player has given a good thought about it and said yes to the board. Dravid was appointed a head coach for Team India in November 2021 for a 2-year term.

Under Rahul Dravid, Team India also managed to top the ODI, test, and T20 rankings. However, India failed to win any ICC trophies in Dravid’s tenure. Though Dravid was given an extended run, the duration of the second term is not disclosed. Dravid’s first assignment in his second stint as head coach is India’s tour of South Africa where the team will play three T20s, three ODIs, and two tests.
