Indian Premier League 2023 was supposed to end yesterday. The finals were scheduled to play yesterday night at Ahmedabad but huge rains played spoilsport. Not even toss was possible due to heavy rains and the entire ground turned into a pool. The ground staff tried their best but the rain hasn’t slowed down one bit. With no other option left, the play was called off for the day.
Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings will meet today again as finals will have a reserve day. The finals will be played today at the same time as yesterday. This is the first time that the IPL has moved to another day.
“The #Final of the #TATAIPL 2023 has been moved to the reserve day on 29th May – 7:30 PM IST at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. Physical tickets for today will be valid tomorrow. We request you to keep the tickets safe & intact,” announced the IPL via its Twitter account.
