The fixtures for IPL 2022 are out and the defending champions are going to play the opening match of the IPL 2022 by facing Kolkata Knight Riders, who are the finalists of the last season. Wankhede Stadium will host this match on March 26th. On March 28th, the two new franchises Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants are going to play. This match will be played at Wankhede as well.
The final league game will be between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings as they face off each other on May 22nd. During the league stage, Wankhede and DY Patil Stadium will host 20 matches each. The Brabourne and MCA stadium in Pune will host 15 matches each.
For 58 days, 70 games will happen between March 26th and May 22nd. The schedule for the playoffs and the finals haven’t been announced yet but the buzz is that Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad is likely to host them.
