The dead rubber, the last league match between Punjab Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad has rather ended in a one-sided fashion. Batting first SRH could only score 157 which is clearly under par. None of the batsmen get going. Priyam Garg who played well in the last match has failed this time. Abhishek Sharma once again fell in the 40s. Rahul Tripathi got out to a loose ball. Markram and Nicholas Pooran couldn’t add much to the tally. At one stage SRH was reeling at 99/5.

However, it is the partnership between Washington Sundar and Romario Shepherd that took SRH to a respectable score. Nathan Ellis bowled a beautiful last over pegging two wickets and restricting SRH.

In reply, PBKS has gone to a flier. By the end of the powerplay, PBKS scored in excess of 60. Though wickets fell at another end, Dhawan has played the anchor innings and the scoreboard kept ticking. With the arrival of Livingstone, the entire scenario changed. In 15 overs and a ball, PBKS has managed to chase the target. Harpreet Brar has been given man of the match for taking three wickets.
