Lucknow Super Giants after back-to-back losses have finally found a win in their last match and have finally qualified for playoffs. It was a rollercoaster ride of a match. Kolkata Knight Riders fought till the last moment but in vain. Lucknow Super Giants batted first and scored a mammoth total of 210 runs. Quinton de Kock especially was magnificent. He scored 140 runs in 70 balls. KL Rahul complimented him brilliantly by scoring 68 runs. Bowlers like Southee and Russell were taken to the cleaners.
Chasing a mammoth total, Kolkata Knight Riders lost both the openers very quickly inside the powerplay. However, KKR never bogged down. Nitish Rana and Shreyas Iyer stitched a beautiful partnership but LSG tried to squeeze the NRR.
With 61 required in just 19 balls, everyone thought LSG will walk away but Rinku Singh and Sunil Narine have fought relentlessly. However, they fell short by 2 runs.
