India got a jailbreak in the first T20I against Sri Lanka that happened in Mumbai. India managed to win the thriller by just 2 runs. India held their nerves to defend the total in Mumbai where it conventionally helps the chasing side.
Now, the focus shifts toward the second T20I which will happen in Pune. The pitch in Pune traditionally helps the batsman. The last time these two sides met in Pune, India made over 200 and won by a huge margin. Sanju Samson is ruled out of the T20I series and that will open doors for Rahul Tripathi who has been on the sidelines for a long time.
