Team India head coach Rahul Dravid spoke about the team and the players ahead of the T20 series against South Africa. With seniors absent for this series, it is going to be a wonderful opportunity for others to step up. Rahul Dravid was impressive with the Hardik Pandya’s performance in the recently concluded IPL 2022. However, he has also indicated that Hardik Pandya’s role will be slightly different from his IPL role.
Hardik Pandya, the captain of Gujarat Titans has batted at No. 3 and No. 4 for the franchise. He has also opened bowling along with Shami. Dravid hinted that Pandya though found success with his batting prowess, will be assigned a finisher role in the national setup.
Rahul Dravid is also aware that the Top 3 performances is crucial for the team to win in the major tournaments. “I know the top 3 for this particular series will be different. But any top 3 we play, we are looking for is good starts,” he explained.
