Delhi Capitals were not happy when a waist-high full toss hasn’t been called a no-ball, which eventually turned critical as they lost the match against Rajasthan Royals. Pravin Amre, Delhi Capitals assistant coach stormed into the field and started to argue with the umpires. Rishabh Pant called back his players. Shardul Thakur has argued about the same with the fourth umpire.
For a breach of IPL’s code of conduct, Praveen Amre has been banned for one match and has also been fined 100% of his match. Pant and Thakur were fined 100% and 50% respectively. All the three Delhi Capitals members have reportedly accepted the sanctions.
Shane Watson, Delhi Capitals assistant coach has said that they have to accept the umpire’s decision. Rishabh Pant, however, in his post-match press meet didn’t hold back. He questioned why can’t third umpire check for a waist-high full toss when he calls for front foot no balls?
