India-A is going to play a 4-day match against New Zealand-A starting on September 1st. After the red ball match, the two teams will fight it out for three one-day games in Chennai later in September. Young players who have been showing consistent growth in their play are picked up in the squad. Priyank Panchal has been named the captain of the squad. Young talents like KS Bharat and Tilak Varma have been included in the squad.
The 16-member squad also includes Kuldeep Yadav and Prasidh Krishna who have been part of the recently concluded Zimbabwe series. Sarfaraz Khan and Rajat Patidar who have bulked up runs in the Ranji trophy 2021-22 have earned up a call as well. Umran Malik and Arzan Nagwaswalla are two other exciting talents to be placed on the squad.
