India entered into the Asia Cup super fours in style. They have won two out of two the league matches. Yesterday’s game against Hong Kong is less competitive than that of Pakistan. However, Hong Kong should be commended for how it fought back in some moments.
Winning the toss, Hong Kong elected to bowl first. Batting first, Rohit Sharma tried to be aggressive and KL Rahul played an ODI inning with run a ball score. While Rohit fell for 21, Virat Kohli couldn’t score big as well. At the end of 13 overs, India is only batting at 7 runs per over but Suryakumar Yadav’s entry changed the dynamics. He scored 68 in just 26 balls. As a result, India’s score went up to 192.
Chasing a huge total, Hong Kong hasn’t got a great start. Bhuvi, Jadeja, and Chahal are economical. Youngsters Arshdeep and Avesh Khan were taken to the cleaners towards the fag end of the innings. As a result, Hong Kong managed 152 runs.
