Cast: Nithiin, Krithi Shetty, Catherine Tresa
Director: M. S. Rajashekhar Reddy
Producer: Sudhakar Reddy, Nikitha Reddy
Music: Mahathi Swara Sagar

Nithiin has come up with another entertainer in the form of Macherla Niyojakavargam. Editor SR Shekhar turned director with this movie. It has generated positive buzz with the promos. Let us check out the review.

Story:

Siddharth Reddy (Nithiin) who is a topper in civils and is awaiting the appointment falls for Swati (Krithi Shetty). However, Swati all of a sudden goes to Macherla, a town that is in the claws of Rajappa (Samuthirakani) who is a dreaded gangster terrorizing the area.

Coincidentally, Siddharth Reddy gets posted for the Macherla constituency. The rest of the story is all about how Siddharth challenges Rajappa to conduct elections in the constituency. What is the past that Swati is hiding from Siddharth Reddy? Why did she leave for Macherla? How Siddharth Reddy deals with Rajappa is to be seen on the big screen.

Performances:

Nithiin has given it all for Macherla Niyojakavargam. He is particularly good in action blocks. However, he doesn’t suit completely when he mouths heavy dialogues. Overall, he did a decent job.

Krithi Shetty is alright in her role. She has a connection with the movie plot and she looks good onscreen as well. Neither Catherine’s role nor her performance are impressive in the movie.

Samuthirakani plays the baddie as the ruthless man. He performed with ease. He carried his role very well. Vennela Kishore has got a lengthy role in Macherla. He did okay as he tried his best to evoke laughs but the problem lies within the writing.

The others like Rajendra Prasad, Brahmaji, Murali Sharma, Subhaleka Sudhakar, and Shyamala have played non-impactful roles.

Technicalities:

Mahati Swara Sagar’s output is okay, nothing great. Ra Ra Reddy song comes at a crucial juncture and the song leaves an impact. His BGM is decent but is loud at times. The cinematography is alright. The cinematographer provided what is required for a mass commercial formulaic entertainer.

The main problem with this movie lies with the story, screenplay, and direction. All these departments are handled by editor MS Shekhar. The story is routine, the screenplay is boring, and the narration is not up to the mark. The editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao is okay.

The action blocks are impressive, especially the fights in the second half.

Analysis:

Macherla Niyojakavargam is a routine affair. Neither the story is engaging nor the screenplay is effective. We get the feeling that we watched these kinds of movies numerous times. Overall, Macherla Niyojakavargam will fail to entertain you.

Rating: 2.25/5
