The much-delayed romantic drama Gurtunda Seethakalam which stars Satya Dev and Tamannaah in the lead roles got finally released today. Let us check out the review.

Story:

Dev (Satya Dev) is in search of true love since his schooling. His love got rejected in the school. However, he falls in love with Amrutha (Kavya Shetty) in his college days. After a couple of twists and turns, the episode ends on a forgettable note for Dev. He comes out of this and marries his office colleague Nidhi (Tamannaah).

However, their lives face some unforeseen circumstances that change their lives completely. What are the circumstances? What happens to Dev and Nidhi?

Performances:

Satya Dev is an intense actor. However, he proved that he will be a perfect fit for love stories as well. It is refreshing to see Satya Dev as a romantic guy. He gave his best in Gurtunda Seethakalam. Megha Akash who serves the purpose of taking the story forward is decent in her role.

Tamannaah is okay in her character. Her image makeover will get mixed reactions from the audience. She will shock her fans at the end. Kavya Shetty is just alright. Her character lacks conviction. Priyadarshi is usual as hero’s friend. Others are fine.

Technicalities:

Gurtunda Seethakalam doesn’t serve anything fresh. There is no novelty factor. One wonders why this movie is remade in Telugu. The soul is completely missing. The story is routine, and the screenplay is predictable. The narration is too boring.

Music by Kaala Bhairava is strictly okay. His songs don’t register but his BGM is noteworthy. The casting looks miscast as well. The cinematography is alright and so is the editing.

Analysis:

Gurtunda Seethakalam is a soulless boring attempt. There is no need to remake this movie in Telugu. Nagashekar completely disappoints. Right from the casting Gurtunda Seethakalam makes us forget about the flick. Overall, it is a disappointing outing for sure.
